Last week we installed an extractor fan for a customer in Radcliffe-on-Trent. After surveying the job with the customer, we decided the safest option of installing the new fan would be to go through the cupboard to avoid breaking any of the tiles.

we could not go through the ceiling due to it being concrete.

we started off by choosing the position of the internal vent which we agreed would be the highest point of the cupboard. Then we held the fan in place to determine where the external vent would go through the wall. Once decided we drilled the 4" hole through the wall for the ducting from the fan.

Upon completion we installed the ducting, fitting the vents and fan.

The last problem was that because we could not go through the ceiling due to it being concrete, this meant that we could not connect the switch for the fan to be powered by the light switch. We overcame this issue with an isolating switch in a near by locaton.

The job overall was completed in a timely and efficient manner.
